The Black Cat Project Espresso Tamper arises from a collaboration between Intelligentsia baristas, the artisans of Espresso Parts, Ltd and EspressoCraft. The tamper’s aluminum handle is made of black anodized aluminum and sports a Black Cat Project logo. It has been painstakingly designed to fit perfectly in the hand, regardless of the size of the barista using it. Additionally, the base of this tamper is convex. The overall effect is one of high design, and this tool will become a treasured object for both espresso aficionados and professional baristas alike.

The result of 3 years of R&D in collaboration with Los Angeles-based design firm, NotNeutral, this particular piece is a seamless marriage of form and function that aids the barista in the perfect pour and balances effortlessly in the drinker’s hand. Every aspect of this cup has been measured, weighed and exhaustively tested through dozens of iterations to achieve a design which is both extremely practical and aesthetically beautiful. To save space on your bar top the cappuccino, 8 oz and 12 oz latte cup all use same size saucer.

The Chemex coffee maker is one of the purest methods of brewing and has been for over forty years. Place grounds in the cone-shaped filter at the top and pour hot water over them. No bells, no whistles and slow, even brewing ensures a full-flavored cup every time. Carafe can hold up to 30oz.  This is for use with the 6 cup Chemex filters.

Soaking ground coffee and water in a container overnight and filtering through a thick cotton pad produces a concentrate that can be added to hot or cold water to make individual cups of coffee. Cold brewing extracts the desirable flavor compounds (and the caffeine) but leaves behind many of the oils and fatty acids that give hot brewed coffee the familiar bite and make it difficult for some people to digest. When stored in the refrigerator, this concentrate has a shelf life of 14 days. Makes about 48 oz. of coffee concentrate per brew.

From Turkish to French press, this grinder has multiple settings for all kinds of coffee preparation. The settings are clearly marked, with a total of 16 – four each for extra fine, fine, regular and coarse. Commercial grade solid conical steel burrs with advanced cutting design provide high precision grinding, and the gear reduction motor grinds slowly and quietly with little static build-up. 

This kettle is made of brushed stainless steel and perfect for brewing coffee in your Chemex, pourover or French Press. The narrow pouring spout produces a wonderful flow to add water at just the right speed. The kettle is dishwasher safe and has a 2 year warranty.

Use these filters with your Bonavita or other #4 cone filter basket. They are unbleached, recyclable and our recommendation for a perfect pot of coffee. 100 count per box.
