After serving a chai concentrate in our coffeebars for many years, we thought that we could create something better, something more authentic. Many chai concentrates are just too sweet, and Doug Palas, Intelligentsia's Tea Buyer, wanted to create something that struck just the right balance between sweet and spicy. Our chai is a blend of black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, clove and ginger. It’s the place where spicy and sweet meet in perfect balance.

This tetra pack makes a total of 132 ounces (just over a gallon) of prepared chai. Ingredients: An infusion of (filtered water, organic black tea, cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, clove, ginger), organic evaporated cane juice, organic molasses and vanilla.

• Shake well.
• Combine one part chai to three parts milk or milk substitute.
• Heat in a microwave, on stovetop, or with steam.
• Also enjoy cold over ice.
