The Barista Training for the Espresso Enthusiast Class is Intelligentsia’s basic barista training course open to the public. It is held at our Chicago Roasting Works at 1850 West Fulton Street. All classes are held from 2pm - 5pm. Tours start at 1pm. During your 3-hour session with Intelligentsia’s Training Team you will learn:

• Espresso preparation
• Milk steaming
• Latte art techniques

Additionally,

• The class takes a hands-on approach for all students, which means that you will spend the majority of time actually working on machines.
• Participants will taste many espressos and espresso-based drinks to develop their palates.
• This class is great for new or prospective retailers (regardless of experience) and for home enthusiasts eager to work with professional equipment.
• The course includes an optional, free tour that begins one hour before the class start time.
• Everyone will leave with a pound of Black Cat Espresso for home practice.
