Summer Solstice

Red raspberry, citrus and toffee in the nose. Bearing a lush, juicy mouthfeel and a buoyant acidity that crescendos toward the back. Fresh orange, caramel and berry with a touch of tea rose. The finish leaves a soft cocoa and English toffee on the tongue.

Coffee does not seem to jibe with hot summer days, does it? Our Summer Solstice, however, is comprised of sparkling fresh crop Centrals with a just a touch of our Tanzania and provides a very refreshing cup. The profile was designed to work well iced, so give it a try throughout June, July, and August.

Summer Solstice

Summer is upon us. Daylight hours are stretched like taffy and we suddenly feel more human. We remember what it’s like to perspire while sitting still. We remember just how hot steering wheels and seatbelt buckles become while sitting in the sun. And we also remember what it’s like to feel the breeze, smell fresh cut grass and watch puffy clouds roll by.

Each season owns an aesthetic. The coming of summer, fall, winter and spring denotes more than just a calendar change. There is a shift of air, light, of pace, even ambient fragrances and our lives respond to it.

With each season, we want to bring you a blend that plays off of that change of space. Our Summer Solstice is created to both reflect and juxtapose summer. A lifted acidity and fruit forward palate echo the brightness of days and farmer’s market feasts. The buoyancy and juiciness of body brings refreshment. And the composition makes a delectable iced coffee.
