Hario Cold Brewer

Cold-brewed coffee is more popular than ever due to its unique flavor profile and its ability to refresh. It’s also a polarizing approach to cold coffee, and some consider the method to be flawed. Either way, for fans, it’s a convenient way to make a lot of coffee at once, and it’s great for a crowd. While there are many cold-brew devices sold on the internet, the best for the home is made by Hario. It’s slimmer, and it fits in a refrigerator more easily.

Step 1

Add coffee into the strainer.

Step 2

Insert the strainer into the glass pot. Align the mark on the strainer with the pot.

Step 3

Pour the water over the coffee, ensuring the grounds are evenly saturated. Stir thoroughly for several seconds, making sure the water saturates the grounds. Stir gently to avoid damaging the mesh filter.

Step 4

Add the lid and brew at room temperature for 8–24 hours. We highly recommend 14 hours. Alternatively, you can brew under refrigeration for a brighter cup.

Step 5

Stir the coffee grounds one last time before removing the strainer.

Step 6

Always remove the strainer once the brewing process is complete, and store under refrigeration.
